Day 022 This was the photo I was planning to use for today until Rhiannon suggested doing the Epic Face one I put on my blog. http://michelepixels.com/2013/01/23/twins/
Day 011 My Husband's Lunch

Day 007 I waited until late evening before picking up my camera. I was sitting at my desk when I thought of it and as I picked up my camera and began to get up, before I even stood, I saw Caroline getting a snack in the kitchen. This is the second picture I took of her. The first was way too under exposed and after a brief attempt to save it in Lightroom I trashed it. I also did walk around my house and take about ten other pictures, including a little playing around with close up portraiture, one of my month themes for January, and I prepared one of those photos for my Project 365. But when I got all the photos uploaded to Smugmug, Caroline saw this one and said she really likes it and THIS should be my photo of the day. I protested that it has a lot of clutter in it. However, in processing it, I did crop out a lot of the counter in the foreground and placed her head at one of the rule of thirds intersections and her face is lit pleasingly and she is posed kind of interestingly, so I decided to go with this one. What do you think?
Day 004 The days are so short right now, and even more so because of our night owlishness, so the sun often sets before I've given much thought to my camera. So I caught a gorgeous sunset from my front porch today. This is only slightly richer than I saw with my eyes, thanks to Lightroom and the vibrancy slider. Do you think I left too much sky? How would you have cropped it? The tree on the far left was entirely there, but the upper left corner was a black triangle from the ceiling of my porch.
Day 003 Today I improved the blue room some more. This desk is stocked with lots of things for written and artistic creativity. The baskets on top contain stencils, special projects, and markers. The baskets on the shelves have varieties of writing, drawing, and coloring tools, organized by type. I tucked a paper sorter into the bottom shelf with plain and lined paper, cardstock, construction paper, special paper and labels. Robert brought up the easle on Tuesday as a way to display the educational posters I have, but I'm not sure I'll use it. The pocket chart hanging from it is a calendar that will hang between the windows and the number chart on the floor doesn't have a home yet.
Day 002 New in the mailbox today is the second issue of the new magazine published by Clickinmoms and a new issue of Highlights magazine (not nearly such a new publication!).
