This week we were to find something to inspire a photo. I'm not really a creative artistic photographer. I'm a photojournalist. I've been inspired to record my life in words and pictures since around age 9. For the last 16 years, my biggest inspiration for photography has been my kids. That will change as they grow up, of course. I've been dabbling in nature photography this year. But I didn't manage to pick up my DSLR this week, not since my girls' homeschool drama club performances of Bye Bye Birdie last weekend. Here are the girls from the Conrad Birdie Fan Club screaming in excitement. I enjoy photographing in the theater. The lighting is strong and pretty consistent.
No, this isn't actually new life. But my husband and I planted this Sunset Maple Tree in our front yard when I was 3 weeks pregnant with my first child 17 years ago. So it always means new life to me.
