One of my goals is always home improvement. This collage shows some of the trouble spots that I might attack this year including (from top to bottom) paper files, our blue room, which was originally designed to have one desk per child and to store things like math manipulatives and communal tools, most of which we no longer use, the pantry which is the same situation, and the basement, which contains old unwanted items and lots of books we could could pass on to others.
This is my fourth year starting this Project 52 and I wanted to try to do something different but the only thing that came to mind was photographing myself in one of my frequent current jobs -- chauffeur to my kids -- but I wasn't eager to set that up. Maybe some other time. Also the weather has been rainy or at least cloudy all week. I think that happens every first week of January! I remember for my first P52 photo I worked in my garage just inside the open big door while it was raining outside. It's partly cloudy this afternoon so I decided I'd better get it done before the sun sets. So it's boring but the good thing is that it was pretty easy. I used to fumble with setting up for a selfie, trying to get the focus and exposure correct. I made this in one try.
