Week 01 - This Is Me

I made it! I joined in again! I have been participating in this project more or less since the first one several years ago, but have only completed it in the early years. The last couple of years I've barely picked up my DSLR. So I've got very low expectations. I do intend to get back into photography this year, but I might focus on a different project. Hi! I'm Michele, originally a third generation native of San Diego. My husband and I moved here to Fredericksburg, Virginia in 2000. We've now been married 22 years and our always-homeschooled children are 17, 15, and 12. In the photo you can see my old 2011 iMac that I hope lasts several more years because I have no money to replace it. I'm still using my old Canon Rebel T1i that I bought in 2010 too. I learned manual photography in 2012, mostly here on CM, and studied photography and business through 2014. But then I got scared of going into business and, except for my "perfect" (didn't miss a day) Project 365 in 2016, my passion for artistic photography has dwindled more each year. I still document my life in photos on a daily basis, but with my iPhone. I hope in 2019 to repair my neglected relationship with my DSLR, maybe start carrying it around with me more often again.
