This assignment this week was, "Week 03 Guilty Pleasure In keeping with our “Getting to Know You” series of prompts, it’s confession time. Show an image that spills the beans on your sinful indulgences, creature comforts or little luxuries that put a smile on your face." This is one of my least favorite prompts. I don't feel guilty about any pleasures and I have simple basic tastes and don't indulge in stuff. I indulge in relaxing and fun activities, but those are hard to photograph. Well, I could have made a selfie of me in my big comfy chair again, but I just did that last week! So after much thinking I went with the "comforts" part of the assignment. Routine is one of my comforts in life. I like not having to think about what to have for breakfast every morning and I love the nutrition and variety provided by scrambled eggs and veggies (which I usually wrap in a flour tortilla, but sometimes just eat in a bowl, and occasionally make into a fried egg sandwich). I usually have a Clementine orange too. And I read online while I eat. I pulled up yesterday's scrapbook page in Photoshop for this photo though. Robert suggested scrapbooking is one of my indulgences. I don't know. Maybe the scrapbooking part is not necessary. But since I've been recording my life in one way or another since I was 8 years old, I think it might be necessary, not an indulgence. Two other ideas came to me while making this photo. I indulge in the comfort of sitting on my afghan I knitted myself when I sit at my desk now. And the fact that my desk is often messy is because I indulge in my desire to do other things instead of tidying up.
